Your Reality = Your Choice

One of the hardest things to come to terms with when I first got sober was the fact that my life - my reality - is one hundred million percent my choice. Our lives are what we make them.

The fight for the life that you want will be won or lost in your mind. So, in order to change your life, you have to change your mind. You have to change your thoughts.

Why? Your thoughts and your emotions generate actions. If you are constantly thinking negative thoughts, your emotional state is going to be negative, and your actions will be based on those negative thoughts and emotions. It's an endless cycle until you break it.

So, every single time you catch yourself having a negative thought, replace it with a positive. And then affirm that positive thought over and over again until your entire being accepts it as a truth.

Some days it's not easy. Some days I wake up feeling defeated, stressed, and anxious, but when I remind myself that I have the power to make or break my day, 99.9% of the time I'm able to turn it around.

If you believe it, it can become your reality.
